The Performance Analysis advanced Tool (known as PAT) provides the means of replaying the execution sequence of a real-time application and presenting crucial performance metrics in an elucidating way that clarifies the inner sight of the application and leads to the production of highly efficient code.The calculation of metrics and graphical representations is based on trace files produced by a variety of monitoring tools (like MAT). This makes PAT independent from the tool or the environment which produced the measurements. The whole environment consists of a graphical front-end component which interacts with the user, visualises and presents to the user the desired metrics and diagrams and a back-end component which processes the stored monitoring data and computes all the necessary information
