FMEA
is a new graphical safety analysis tool, based on Failure Mode and Effect
Analysis concerning the hardware and software parts of real time system.
The tool provides a graphical user interface where the user-developer
can design his system in the form of a System Organization Diagram (SOD).
In each node of the diagram the user can insert component information,
as well as failures and relations between failures. After inputting
all the needed data the next step is to perform analysis and provide
the final failures. The results can be saved in various formats such
as Access, Excel or plain text in order to reuse these results from
other FMEA graphs or from other tools.
